The MSI Cyborg 15 is now on sale for US$300 off the US$999.99 retail price at Best Buy resulting in the final rate of US$699.99. The discounted price is the lowest in 120 days according to Honey's price history tool. At US$699.99, the MSI Cyborg 15 appears to be a worthy consideration as it packs an 8-core Core i5-12450H CPU, an RTX 4050 GPU, 8 GB of DDR5 memory, and 512 GB of PCIe Gen 4 storage. Although the 8 GB memory and 512 GB of storage are on the lower end of the spectrum, they can be expanded thanks to two SO-DIMM slots and one M.2 slot.

The MSI Cyborg 15 is primarily a compact 15.6-inch machine with entry-level to mid-range gaming performance. The laptop earned a “good” rating of 82% in our review owing to the comparatively light weight of 2 Kg (4.37 lb) and expandable RAM. We also measured a reasonably long battery life of 7.35 hours in our WLAN test meaning the Cyborg 15 could last a decently long time when running routine tasks/office work.

When it comes to performance, the MSI Cyborg 15 is sufficiently powerful for FHD gaming at medium to High settings. Our RTX 4060-equipped model proved powerful enough to drive almost all tested games at 60 FPS+ at 1080p with elevated graphics settings. 

The RTX 4050, although slower than the RTX 4060, is also capable to play modern games at or above 60 FPS at 1080p. For instance, the GPU was able to push Star Wards: Jedi Survivors at 62 FPS on average at 1080p/High,

All in all, the MSI Cyborg 15 for US$699.99 seems to be a good deal if you need a compact 15-inch machine with long battery life and sufficient performance.
