The Gen 8 Lenovo Slim 7i on sale rocks a 14-inch IPS touch display with a 2.8K resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The panel also boasts an advertised 100% coverage of the sRGB gamut and 400 nits of brightness. Inside the hood, the laptop packs a Core i5-1340P Raptor Lake CPU, 16 GB of LPDDR5-5200 memory, 1 TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage, and a 65 Wh battery.
Additionally, the Lenovo Slim 7i comes with an FHD webcam that supports Windows Hello facial recognition. However, if you are not a fan of webcams, you can block it using the built-in privacy shutter and use the integrated fingerprint reader instead.
The Lenovo Slim 7i seems like a pretty good machine based on the specifications alone. For instance, the 12-core Core i5-1340P processor is plenty fast and it can easily handle almost anything you can throw at it. We measured respectable Cinbench R23 Multi and Single-Core scores of 10,921 and 1,720 respectively.
Moreover, coupled with the 400 nits of brightness, the 14-inch panel that covers 100% of the sRGB gamut is bound to provide a good media-watching experience.
