When it comes to usage, the Gen 8 Lenovo Legion Pro 5 ticks almost all the boxes. We were thoroughly impressed with the laptop and gave the machine a “very good” score of 88% in our review. In particular, the Lenovo Legion Pro 5 has excellent performance thanks to a speedy mid-range Ryzen 7 7745HX and an RTX 4070. Our review device managed to snag a performance rating of 79.9%.

In other words, the notebook is sufficiently powerful to handle almost anything you can throw at it. For instance, in our PCMark 10 Digital Content Creation benchmark, the laptop scored 13,229 points and was only 10% behind the Schenker XMG Neo 16 with a Core i9-13900HX and an RTX 4090.

Similarly, the Legion Pro 5 can comfortably play almost all modern AAA games at QHD resolution with elevated graphical presets. For instance, the laptop cranked out 58 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 (1.5) at QHD resolution with Ultra quality settings.

In short, if you are in need of a mid-range gaming notebook with enough performance to handle QHD/FHD gaming and content creation, the Lenovo Legion Pro 5 Gen 8 is worth taking a look at especially for only US$1,336.49.
