Lenovo has unveiled the Gen 8 Legion Slim 7 and Slim 7i gaming notebooks. The notebooks follow the established Legion design principle of sleek gaming laptops that don’t look out of place in an office setting. Both laptops pack the latest Intel and AMD CPUs alongside RTX 40 GPUs.
First up, except the processor, both the Legion Slim 7 and Slim 7i boast the exact same design and internal hardware. The Legion Slim 7i rocks up to a Core i9-13900H, hence the “i” in the name, while the Legion Slim 7 features up to a Ryzen 9 7940HS Phoenix APU. Aside from this, the notebooks feature up to a 125 W RTX 4070 GPU.
Other notable specs include a maximum of 32 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM (16 GB soldered + 16 GB SO-DIMM), up to a 1 TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD, and a 99.99 Wh battery that can go from 0-70% in 30 minutes with a full charge taking 80 minutes.
Furthermore, Lenovo offers three screen options for the Legion Slim 7i and Slim 7. For instance, you can choose a 16-inch WQXGA IPS panel with a 2560x1600 resolution, 240 Hz refresh rate, 3 ms of advertised response time, NVIDIA G-SYNC/AMD FreeSync compatibility, 100% sRGB coverage, and 500 nits of brightness. There is also the option for a 3.2K panel with a 165 Hz refresh rate and 100% coverage of DCI-P3 gamut.
When it comes to price and availability, the Legion Slim 7i is scheduled to go on sale from May 2023 at a starting price of €1,999 while the AMD-based Legion Slim 7 will be available from July at an entry price of €1,899.
