Razer Kishi V2 Pro launches with Xbox Edition and Hypersense Haptics
Razer has upgraded its Kishi series of mobile gaming controllers with the new V2 Pro variant. It, like its predecessors, has an "extendable bridge" form-factor that should make it compatible with most smartphones - however, the OEM asserts that it makes gaming on the go more "hardcore" than ever before with Hypersense Haptics and a new cloud-oriented design - it even has a 3.5mm jack to "stay immersed" in a given streaming session.
To this end, the V2 Pro has bilateral thumbsticks, found above the D-pad on the left and below the X/Y/A/B buttons on the right. Those controls are also flanked by various smaller buttons, one of which has an Xbox logo in the edition specifically "optimized" for that console series.
The Xbox Edition's eponymous button should take the device (connected via the direct USB type-C connector found on either version of the X2 Pro) straight to the Game Pass UI, as well as grant access to the Xbox remote play feature and also to the platform's Cloud Gaming portal (although the latter is still in beta and requires an Ultimate-tier membership in any case).
Due to its interface, the Razer Kishi V2 Pro is not intended for use with iPhones at launch. It starts at US$129.99 for the standard (black) model, or goes for US$149.99 in Xbox Edition (white) form.
