Woojer Series 3 wearables debut to confer haptic feedback on Meta Quest 3S gameplay
Meta touts the new Quest 3S headset as all you need to get into virtual or augmented reality (VR/AR) gaming for $299.99; however, Woojer suggests that one needs one of its own new wearables to make the experience more complete.
Its new Strap 3 is touted to allow the user to "feel" the sound emanating from their content, thereby making movies, TV shows and particularly concerts more convincing and realistic.
However, the OEM implies that the new Vest 3 is best to bring the same experience to gaming, as it packs 6 of Woojer's latest Osci TRX2 transducers as opposed to 1 in the Strap 3.
They are rated to reproduce the vibrations involved using an "advanced" digital signal processor (DSP) and within a frequency range of 1 to 250Hz.
The third-gen Strap and Vest are also rated to connect to the rest of a user's hardware (headphones included) via Bluetooth 5, however, whereas more up-to-date peripherals use the 5.4 version.
The Vest 3 also costs $499.99 via vendors such as Best Buy, while the Strap 3 starts at $179.99. The accessories are available in black or white, with additional Call of Duty special editions in the Strap 3.
