Xiaomi has unveiled the Mijia Smart Audio Glasses, which will soon be available via a pre-sale campaign in China. The gadget contains a speaker and microphone, allowing you to listen to music or take calls with the wearable. You can use touch gestures on the arms to control the device, which supports voice commands.

The Xiaomi Mijia Smart Audio Glasses will soon launch in China. The wearable has a built-in Super Balance Speaker 2.0, a 128 mm unit producing a 360° sound experience. A microphone is also integrated into the arm of the glasses, with an AI algorithm to reduce background noise on calls, such as wind or echos.

The Mijia Smart Audio Glasses arms also contain a 30 mm touch control panel. Touch controls include gestures to pause the music or adjust the volume, and custom gestures can be set up in the accompanying app. You can also use the app to find your glasses if you lose them. The wearable is available in five different designs, with black frames or half frames, round and aviator styles, and one pair of sunglasses. A unique hinge mechanism enables you to quickly detach the glasses' arms to switch between frame styles.

The glasses are light, weighing just 38.1 g (~1.34 oz), and support Xiao AI voice commands. The battery-powered gadget can last up to seven hours of calling or ten hours of music playback. Xiaomi suggests that the Mijia smart glasses are compatible with various iOS, Android, Mac and Windows devices. A pre-sale campaign for the Xiaomi Mijia Smart Audio Glasses runs from April 12 to 26. During this time, the wearable will cost 799 yuan (~US$116), 11% off the 899 yuan (US$131) RRP. It is unclear whether or when the device could launch in other markets.
