A new leak has showcased details about the WF-C700N, Sony's replacement for the WF-C500. Launching later this in at least four colours, the WF-C700N will also feature ANC, Bluetooth Multipoint and DSEE integration, among other things.

Earlier this month, The Walkman Blog revealed details about the WF-C700N, which the website expected Sony had designed to replace the WF-C500. Now, @OnLeaks and MySmartPrice have collaborated to deliver promotional images of the WF-C700N, as well as a few specifications. As the images below show, Sony will offer the WF-C700N in four colours. While MySmartPrice has not provided marketing names, their base colours are black, green, purple and white. All colours feature matching charging cases, with slightly darker silicone tips for the green and purple editions.

Ultimately, the WF-C700N looks a lot like its predecessor, albeit without a translucent top on its charging case. It was already clear that the WF-C700N would support a form of noise cancelling, given its 'N' suffix. One promotional image confirms that this will be Sony's Digital Noise Cancellation, which should be considered active noise cancellation (ANC). The WF-C700N will feature Wind Noise Reduction too, and Sony's Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) for audio upscaling.

The addition of ANC will reduce battery life compared to the WF-C500, which offers up to 20 hours when factoring in its bundled charging case. By contrast, the WF-C700N will last up to 15 hours with ANC on. Meanwhile, it will take roughly 90 minutes for the WF-C700N and its charging case. The WF-C700N will offer Bluetooth Multipoint too, but not until summer 2023 after Sony delivers a firmware update. A release date and pricing remain unknown for now though, but FCC's documentation and these leaked promotional images point to a spring launch.
