Sony WF-C510: Budget earbuds leak with minimal design changes over WF-C500
A new leak from X user @MysteryLupin has revealed what Sony's next budget-focussed TWS earbuds, the WF-C510, will look like at launch. They succeed the WF-C500 launched and are offered as a budget alternative to the WF-C700N and WF-1000XM5.
Design-wise, the Sony WF-C510 is practically identical to its last-gen counterpart, as is evident with its case and earbuds' shape. It comes with the same command button that can be mapped to specific functions. There's a pairing button at the back along with a USB-C port.
Unfortunately, the Sony WF-C510 does not offer ANC (Active Noise Cancellation). However, you get 22 hours of total battery life, which is two hours more than the WF-C500 offers. Other notable features include the ability to pair with two devices simultaneously, ambient sound mode and IPX4 water/dust resistance.
The Sony WF-C510 keeps the pogo-pin style charging connector and comes with three sets of ear tips in the box. Looking at when its predecessor launched, we can expect the WF-C510 to be announced sometime in September 2024 for ~$100.
