GMK unveils Ryzen 7-powered NucBox K1 and NucBox K2 mini PCs
GMKtec (aka GMK), a popular manufacturer of mini PCs, listed two new devices today, both of which are powered by AMD Ryzen 7 processors.
The GMK NucBox K1 is powered by AMD's Ryzen 7 6800H CPU, while the NucBox K2 sports the newer AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS. Both desktops have AMD's 680M integrated GPU and support up to 64 GB of DDR5-4800 RAM and up to 2TB of PCIe NVMe SSD storage.
The chassis is the same between both devices, measuring about 122 x 112 x 43 mm (~4.8 x 4.4 x 1.7 inches). Both mini PCs have the same I/O as well. There are two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps), a USB4 Type-C port (40 Gbps), and headset jack on the front. On the back is another USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port, a USB-A 2.0 port, a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet jack, two HDMI 2.0 ports (4K, 60 Hz), and the DC input. Wireless is handled by an AMD RZ608 chip that supports WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.
GMK is shipping the NucBox K1 and NucBox K2 as barebones kits (meaning RAM and storage are not included) for US$499 and $539, respectively. The K1 can be configured with either 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB PCIe 3.0 SSD ($599.89) or 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB PCIe 3.0 drive ($699.89). Customers can order the K2 with either 16 GB ($659) or 32 GB of RAM ($719); both of these options includes a 1 TB PCIe 3.0 SSD. GMK is currently offering a coupon for $90 off the K1 and $50 off the K2 at checkout.
