Beelink SER6 Pro Ryzen 7 7735HS mini PC review: Now with integrated DisplayPort

The 2023 Beelink SER6 Pro is an update to the 2022 SER6 Pro. It replaces the older Ryzen 7 6800 or Ryzen 9 6900HS options on last year's model with the newer Ryzen 7 7735HS. Other than the processor update, however, the chassis remains identical with just one notable change.
Our review unit with the Ryzen 7 7735HS, 32 GB RAM, 500 GB NVMe SSD, and pre-installed Windows 10 Pro can be found online for about $650 USD or $550 if on sale. The model competes directly with other mini PCs most notable the Intel NUC series.

Case
There are no major design changes to the chassis save for one exception: the second HDMI port on last year's model has been swapped for a full-size DisplayPort instead. This is actually preferable as DisplayPort has better compatibility with higher refresh rates and adaptive sync monitors than HDMI.

Accessories and Warranty
The standard one-year limited warranty applies if purchased in the US. The retail box includes a manual, removable wall-mounted VESA bracket, two HDMI cables, and the AC adapter.
Performance
Testing Conditions
We set our unit to Performance mode via Windows prior to running any benchmarks below. There is no pre-installed "Command Center" application unlike on many other laptops or PCs from major brands.
Processor
Much like what we discovered on the recently reviewed Lenovo Slim 7 Pro, the 2023 Ryzen 7 7735HS performs almost identically to the older Ryzen 7 6800H or Ryzen 9 6900HS. This is because the Ryzen 7 7735HS is largely a rebrand of the older Zen 3+ series despite its recent launch early last month. Consequently, even the older 12th gen Core i7-12700H can outperform the Ryzen 7 7735HS in pretty much everything but integrated graphics performance.
For a "true" current gen AMD processor, you'd have to get the Zen 4 Ryzen 9 7945HX instead. Unfortunately, such an option is not available on the SER6 Pro.

GPU Performance
Graphics performance is the same as on last year's Ryzen 7 6800H or Ryzen 9 6900HX since all of these CPUs sport the same integrated Radeon 680M GPU. This isn't necessarily a bad thing because the Radeon 680M is already well ahead of the competing Intel Iris Xe 96 EUs by 40 to 60 percent, but users who were expecting some sort of boost this year will be disappointed.
Idling on Witcher 3 reveals performance stability issues as frame rates would frequently dip for seemingly no reason as shown by our graph below. This behavior suggests poor prioritization of background activities or driver issues with the integrated GPU. We had updated our Radeon drivers to the latest versions as of the date of publishing and results would not change.
