Deal | GMKtec NucBox M3 mini PC complete with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD on sale for US$297

Amazon is currently running a sale on the recently reviewed GMK NucBox M3 mini PC for just under $300 USD complete with RAM, storage, a 12th gen Intel Core i5 H-series CPU, and Windows 11 Pro. The deal is notable as most mini PCs in this price range are typically barebones systems or they ship with much slower Core i3 CPUs only. Purchasing 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD separately would already cost around $100.

Alternatively, Amazon is also discounting the same M3 mini PC but with twice the RAM and storage for only $30 more.

In our review of the system, however, we noted that its Core i5-12450H processor hasn't age so well compared to recent U-series solutions. The Core i7-1365U or Ryzen 7 7840U, for example, can each offer faster performance while consuming much less power. This isn't to say that the Core i5-12450H is slow, but its poor performance-per-watt sticks out like a sore thumb.

Nonetheless, users are still getting a lot of bang for the buck for $300 especially when it comes to RAM and storage.
