GMKtec has launched another mini-PC following the summer release of the NucBox K4. While the company teased models with Intel 14th Gen Meteor Lake processors, the NucBox M3 relies upon an older Alder Lake-H series part. Specifically, the Core i5-12450H powers the NucBox M3, as does DDR4-3200 RAM.
For reference, the Core i5-12450H has 4 E and 4 P cores with 3.3 GHz and 4.4 GHz peak clock speeds, respectively. Additionally, the processor has 12 threads, a 45 W TDP and a UHD Graphics Xe G4 iGPU with 48 Execution Units. Moreover, GMKtec has included the following ports within the device's 114 x 106 x 42 mm housing:
- 1x 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x DC power input (20 V/5 A)
- 2x HDMI
- 1x USB 2.0 Type-A
- 3x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
- 1x USB Type-C (DisplayPort 1.4 Alt Mode)
Furthermore, the NucBox M3 has a VESA mount, an active cooling solution, Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. Currently, GMKtec offers the mini-PC in three configurations on its website, but only with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage on Amazon. For now, the NucBox M3 starts at US$339.99 from Amazon and GMKtec.
However, the latter states that this price will only be available until September 27. Alternatively, GMKtec sells the mini-PC with 1 TB of storage and 16 GB or 32 GB of RAM for US$357.99 and US$379.99, respectively, again with US$100 discounts. Please see GMKtec's website for more details.
