ASYNC H7 XC hybrid e-bike with carbon fiber frame and 125-mile range now crowdfunding
The ASYNC H7 XC all-in-one e-bike is now crowdfunding on Indiegogo. The hybrid model has been designed to ride on or off-road, with a 500W mid-mounted motor for a top assistance speed of 28 mph (~45 kph) and up to 130 Nm torque. Speed and torque sensors ensure that the power delivered by the engine matches your pedalling output, and you can choose from five assistance modes.
The H7 XC’s removable 960Wh battery allows you to ride for up to 125 miles (~201 km) with pedal assistance or 50 miles (~80 km) using just the throttle. The e-bike also has 27.5 x 2.5-in Maxxis Aggressor tires, a Suntour XCR 120mm Air Suspension Fork and a Shimano Deore 11s Shifter Set. Plus, a carbon fiber frame and handlebars help to dampen vibrations for a smoother ride and keep the bike lightweight; the model weighs approximately 58 lbs (~26.3 kg). You can link your smartphone to the bicycle, unlocking app-based features such as GPS Find My Bike & Vehicle Alarm, Cycling Data & Record and Digital Key & Auto Unlock.
You can currently pledge US$3,399 to the campaign to receive the ASYNC H7 e-bike when it ships worldwide this December. The model has a US$3,999 RRP, meaning early bird customers get a 15% discount. A cheaper, less powerful model, the H7, starts from US$2,999. At the time of writing, the campaign has 15 backers raising nearly US$37,000, surpassing the US$5,000 funding target.
