Minisforum BD770i Mini-ITX motherboard with AMD Ryzen 7 7745HX processor launches at US$399
Minisforum has just introduced the BD770i, a Mini-ITX motherboard powered by a built-in AMD Dragon Range mobile processor. This should make building a PC slightly easier for beginners, as the CPU and cooler come pre-installed.
At the helm of the BD770i is an AMD Ryzen 7 7745HX, a desktop-class chip using a BGA package. It features eight Zen 4 cores boosting up to 5.1 GHz and basic Radeon 610M integrated graphics with 2 Compute Units. Furthermore, the board is equipped with a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, allowing buyers to install a discrete graphics card. Also present are two DDR5 SODIMM slots and a couple of PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots for storage.
Connectivity-wise, we're looking at four USB-A ports (2x 5 Gbps + 2x 480 Mbps), a 20 Gbps USB-C port with DP Alt mode, HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, 2.5 GbE LAN, and three 3.5 mm audio jacks. Users also get a 19-pin USB header, four 4-pin fan connectors, an M.2 2230 E-key slot for a wireless card, as well as the usual headers for front panel connectors and audio.
The Minisforum BD770i is already available to order, with early-bird pricing set at US$399. The company also mentioned a similar SKU equipped with a 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX processor, which might launch at a later time.
