MINISFORUM EYERTEC AD650i launches as new Mini-ITX motherboard with Intel Alder Lake-H processor ↺
MINISFORUM has unveiled a new Mini-ITX motherboard design in China. To recap, the company previously shared more details about Project DRFXI and Project RPFXI last month, a pair of Mini-ITX boards based around AMD 7045HX and Intel Raptor Lake HX55 processors, respectively. As we discussed at the time, Project DRFXI will be one of the first devices to utilise the Ryzen 9 7945HX3D, which we have already reviewed in the ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 17 X3D.
By contrast, the MINISFORUM EYERTEC AD650i is a less powerful alternative courtesy of its Core i7-12650H processor. For context, the Core i7-12650H sits within Intel's Alder Lake-H portfolio and has 10 CPU cores split between 6 P cores and 4 of a possible 8 E cores. As such, the 10 nm processor supports 16 threads, as well as a 45 W TDP and 24 MB L3 cache.
Additionally, the EYERTEC AD650i lacks a PCIe x16 slot, meaning that it relies upon its processor's lowly UHD Graphics iGPU and its 64 Execution Units. Moreover, the board has an MXM expansion card for adding SSDs that may be compatible with MXM GPUs. For now, MINISFORUM is only selling the EYERTEC AD650i in China, where it is available for CNY 2,599 (~US$355).
