Xiaomi to release five Redmi Note 13 models with 4G, 4G/NFC and 5G connectivity
Xiaomiui claims to have discovered new details about the Redmi Note 13 series, following on from a recent sighting of the Redmi Note 13 Pro at the 3C in China. Allegedly, Xiaomi has developed five models under the Redmi Note 13 banner, one with 4G connectivity, another with 4G and NFC connectivity and three other models that add 5G modems. Reportedly, Xiaomi is developing Redmi Note 13 models under codenames 'sapphire' and 'gold', with subdivisions such as 'sapphiren' for the Redmi Note 13 4G NFC.
According to Xiaomiui, the Redmi Note 13 4G and Redmi Note 13 4G NFC will rely upon what could be the same Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. Unfortunately, the website has not revealed which Snapdragon chipset upon which both handsets rely, although Qualcomm integrates 4G modems in hardly any of its modern chipsets. For reference, only the Snapdragon 680, Snapdragon 685 and Snapdragon 782G, of which the latter is the most powerful by quite a way.
Xiaomiui adds that both Redmi Note Note 13 4G models will be available across Europe, Indonesia and Turkey, but not in India despite the Redmi series' success there. By contrast, all Redmi Note 13 5G variants are said to utilise a MediaTek Dimensity chipset. Reportedly, Xiaomi will distinguish the trio with their primary cameras, which are rumoured to output natively at 50 MP, 64 MP and 108 MP.
Moreover, Xiaomiui asserts that one of these models will arrive under Xiaomi's POCO sub-brand. Redmi Note 13 5G models should be available globally, including India. However, it is unclear when Xiaomi will release Redmi Note 13 models outside China.
