Motorola Edge 40 Neo: 'Make a splash' launch event teased as official marketing renders leaks online
Motorola has begun teasing the release of a new smartphone following the recent launches of the Moto G54 and Moto G84 in select markets. While the company has not revealed the name of its next device yet, various rumours point to it being the Edge 40 Neo. As far as we can tell, Motorola has only announced a new launch event in Europe and the UK, not the US.
Arguably, this should come as little surprise considering that the Edge 40 Neo is effectively a re-bodied Edge 2022, a US exclusive. Nonetheless, a recent FCC certification implies that Motorola plans to launch the Edge 40 Neo in the US or at least reserve the right to do so. While Amazon Italy previously provided a near-full Edge 40 Neo specification list, images of the unreleased handset have only appeared online in the last few days.
For example, Evan Blass shared a short promotional video of the device less than a week ago. Now, Appuals has published over a dozen official marketing images, some of which we have embedded below. Somewhat unsurprisingly, the Edge 40 Neo will look like a lot of other recent Motorola smartphones, Edge 40 and Edge 40 Pro included. However, it seems Motorola has based all Edge 40 Neo colour options on Pantone curated options. Based on Blass' earlier leak, these colours will be sold as Black Beauty, Caneel Bay and Soothing Sea. Currently, the Edge 40 Neo is expected to retail for €399 when Motorola releases it on September 14.
