Chatreey G2: Mini-PC refreshed with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU to complement Intel Core i7-12700H and Core i9-12900H processors ↺
Chatreey has released an updated version of the G2, a mini-PC that it released over six months ago. To recap, the company originally equipped the Chatreey G2 with a choice between the Core i7-12700H or Core i9-12900H, a pair of Intel Alder Lake-H processors commonly found in multimedia or gaming laptops. Additionally, the mini-PC featured the 4 GB and 95 W version of the GeForce RTX 3050, which NVIDIA bases on its GA107 GPU.
As APCTV notes, Chatreey now offers the G2 with the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti, a slightly more powerful GA107 variant that NVIDIA also pairs with 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM. For reference, the additional 512 pipelines, 16 TMUs, 4 raytracing cores and 16 Tensor cores help the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti outperform the GeForce RTX 3050 by about 17% in our gaming tests and 15% overall. Thus, Chatreey has only brought a modest performance improvement to the G2 with this change, albeit seemingly without any power consumption increases.
The updated Chatreey G2 is orderable now on AliExpress, starting at US$683 as a barebones unit with a Core i7-12700H. Alternatively, Chatreey sells the mini-PC with a Core i9-12900H from US$787. At the time of writing, the Chatreey G2 can be configured with up to 64 GB of storage and a 4 TB SSD, with five lesser memory configurations also offered. Please note the Chatreey G2 supports expandable memory via SODIMM, M.2 2280 and 2.5-inch slots, meaning that you can add more RAM and storage along the way. Please see Chatreey's AliExpress listing for more details.
