Xiaomi Mini PC 2023 available globally with latest Intel processor and Thunderbolt 4 ports
Minixpc has begun selling the Xiaomi Mini Host 2023, a Raptor Lake-P refresh of a mini-PC that it presented in December 2022. Thus, Xiaomi's latest mini-PC has more ports than similarly powerful laptops, including front-mounted USB Type-A connections. Specifically, Xiaomi has equipped the device with the following I/O:
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet
- 1x DC input
- 1x HDMI 2.1 (18 Gbps)
- 2x Thunderbolt 4
- 1x USB 2.0 Type-A
- 3x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
In other words, the port selection remains unchanged from last year's model. Likewise, Xiaomi continues to equip its mini-PC with DDR4 3,200 MHz SO-DIMM RAM and PCIe 4.0 storage, all with a 445 g and 0.4-litre housing. In fact, the switch from the Core i5-1240P to the Core i5-1340P appears to be the only upgrade from the previous Mini Host.
According to our database, the Core i5-1340P outperforms its predecessor by 5%, despite being a newer generation part. However, moderate CPU and GPU boost clock speed increases and 1 MB fewer L2 cache underlines why the Core i5-1340P and Core i5-1240P offer comparable performance. Currently, Minixpc sells the Xiaomi Mini Host 2023 with 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD for US$699.99, with global shipping available at the time of writing.
