Zotac has just launched the ZBOX pico PI430AJ, its first mini PC equipped with Frore System's AirJet solid-state active cooling modules. According to the company, this solution has the advantage of providing higher sustained performance than a passively cooled system while still remaining whisper-quiet.
At the helm is an Intel Core i3-N300 processor, an Alder Lake-N part with eight cores boosting up to 3.8 GHz and Intel UHD integrated graphics featuring 32 Execution Units. It's joined by 8 GB of LPDDR5 memory and an M.2 2280 slot supporting PCIe 3.0 or SATA SSDs.
Connectivity consists of three USB 3.2 ports (2x USB-A + 1x USB-C), a microSD card reader, DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a Gigabit LAN port. The machine also supports WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, although it isn't equipped with any external antenna connectors.
The Zotac ZBOX pico PI430AJ mini PC is available starting today, with the company listing two SKUs on its site - a barebone version and a complete system with a 512 GB NVMe SSD and Windows 11 Home preinstalled. However, pricing is where things get a bit trickier. Zotac mentioned a US$500 price point during Computex, where it first showed off the machine, but it's unclear which variant that applies to.
