Dime Evo: Wireless headphones come with an unusual charging case
Skullcandy has presented new headphones. In this market segment, which many manufacturers serve with numerous products, the company is likely to try to stand out from the crowd with the charging case in particular. This is elongated and comes with a loop. This allows the case to be attached to a key ring, for example, so it can always be taken with you.
The headphones themselves are more or less typical in-ear headphones. They have 6-millimeter drivers, which is a fairly typical value - although there are also in-ears with larger drivers. As usual, frequencies between 20 and 20,000 Hz can be reproduced. The battery life of the headphones themselves is specified at 8 hours, with intermediate charges the total runtime increases to 36 hours. Fast charging is supported; charging for just 10 minutes should allow a further 2 hours of playback time.
Google Fast Pair is supported, allowing easy pairing with corresponding Android devices. Various settings can be made using the Skullcandy app and a Stay Aware mode is supported. It is possible to control music playback or, for example, accept or reject calls. A low-latency mode is supported, which is aimed at video gamers, for example, and a low input delay is also important when playing videos.
The Skullcandy Dime Evo are available at a price of 60 dollars. There is currently no information on a launch in Germany, but many Skullcandy headphones are also available in this country - so it should only be a matter of time before the headphones come to Germany.
