Xiaomi Redmi Buds 4 Pro arrive with LDAC support, ANC and a dual driver set-up
Xiaomi has brought the Redmi Buds 4 Pro to Europe following a launch in the company's home market. Released alongside the Redmi Buds 4 and other products, the Redmi Buds 4 Pro feature a 10 mm + 6 mm dual driver design, allegedly to leverage Hi-Res Audio and LDAC at 990 kbit/s when paired to an Android smartphone. For reference, the earbuds support AAC and SBC codecs too, as well as Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.
Additionally, the earbuds offer active noise cancellation (ANC), which operates at 30-3,000 Hz to reduce background noises by up to 43 dB. Theoretically, the ANC should be powerful enough to cancel out the noise from car horns and typing on a keyboard, for example. Incidentally, Xiaomi has included Light, Balanced and Deep ANC modes, should you wish to customise ANC levels.
Moreover, the earbuds are IP54 certified against dust and water, matching their non-Pro sibling. Separately, Xiaomi claims that the Redmi Buds 4 Pro will last up to 36 hours between charges of their bundled carry case or 9 hours on a single charge. Allegedly, 5 minutes of recharging will deliver up to 2 hours of music playback too. Until October 11, Xiaomi will be selling the Redmi Buds 4 Pro for €89.99 in the Eurozone, after which its price will rise to €99.99. Available from today, the Redmi Buds 4 Pro come in Midnight Black and Moon White colourways.
