Edifier, the self-styled maker of "affordable but premium quality audio products", has announced that it has joined the steadily-growing LDAC codec brigade with the new W820NB Plus wireless headphones. The OEM touts its "transmission bandwidth" of up to 990 kilobits per second (kb/s) as an advantage in streaming high bit-rate audio from a connected device over Bluetooth 5.2.
The W820NB Plus may also boost their potentially "nearly lossless, natural and full sound" with a titanium coating for their "composite diaphragm" 40mm drivers. The cans also pack hybrid ANC rated for an appreciable 43-decibel (dB) level of unwanted sound-blocking.
The new headphones also have the kind of USB type-C port that might restore up to 7 hours of battery life in exchange for just 10 minutes of charging. The "comfortable" W820NB Plus headphones have launched in Blue, Green, Gray or Ivory colorways in addition to "traditional" Black, and are available on Amazon for just US$79.99 from now.
