Sony WF-1000XM5 revealed by new leak in two colours with glossy finishes
Yesterday, The Walkman Blog published details about the WF-1000XM5, including what appeared to be the first official image of the earbuds. Now, Roland Quandt has shared high-resolution images of the WF-1000XM5 in what are likely its two launch colours. As with other WF-1000 and WH-1000 releases, Sony will offer the WF-1000XM5 in beige and black finishes, although it will likely market the former as 'Silver'.
Seemingly, the WF-1000XM5 will be more compact than its predecessor, as will its bundled charging case. Sony has also made a few design tweaks, such as removing the visible touch panel present on the WF-1000XM4. Additionally, Sony has given the earbuds a glossy finish; for some reason, the charging case retains a matte finish.
Moreover, Sony has more discretely integrated the microphone this time around. Allegedly, the WF-1000XM5 will arrive later this week. Pricing has not leaked yet, but more details about the upcoming earbuds can be found in our previous article, which outlines various specifications. In short, the WF-1000XM5 will be lighter than its predecessor while carrying over its Bluetooth Multipoint, ANC and LDAC functionality.
