The SACS9 is a 10-inch freestanding subwoofer with a mica-reinforced cone diaphragm and support for High-Resolution Audio. A bass reflex enclosure and motion feedback technology combine to prevent distortion, and a woof cabinet and cloth grille optimize durability while minimizing unwanted vibrations. The subwoofer delivers low-frequency sounds with a 28 to 200 Hz frequency response, a built-in amplifier and 115W peak power. Other features include a power save mode, cutoff frequency and level adjustment tools and phase switching.
Sony suggests using the SA-CS9 active subwoofer to create a 5.1.2-channel home cinema set-up compatible with Dolby Atmos. The compact gadget measures 11.6 x 13.6 x 15.8-in (~29.5 x 34.6 x 40.0 cm).
