The IP68/IP69K/MIL-STD-810H-rated Armor 21 looks a lot like the Power Armor 16 Pro from Ulefone, especially from the back. However, its second-gen 122dB speaker - the second-loudest known to Android smartphones - is updated with an 18-LED ring of RGB lighting for its main rear panel feature.
The "Infinite Halo" can apparently be set to sync to music (backed to drown a siren out at its top 3.5W output), and to light up in different colors or effects to denote incoming calls, charging status or notifications. The Armor 21 also improves on the 16 Pro with a 120Hz FHD display that is also larger at 6.58 inches in diagonal length.
The 21 also upgrades to a 64MP main rear camera with a 24MP "night vision" back-up lens, and has up to 16GB of RAM with expandable storage. Then again, it has the same 9600mAh battery as the 16 Pro.
Ulefone has yet to tease any further specs for the Armor 21, or disclose its final price - then again, the brand has indicated that its "open sales" will start on June 12, 2023, with the possibility of grabbing a unit for just US$99.99 (as opposed to US$109.99 at the lowest on the 16 Pro's release).
Then again, the first-gen "full frequency shock" speaker phone currently retails for US$189.99 on Amazon.
