LG announces new additions to its XBOOM Go series of portable speakers

LG has launched the successors to the LG XBOOM Go PK series of wireless speakers. They feature "passive radiators to pump out dynamic bass and bold beats", as well as dual tweeters in the top-end variant. They are also tuned by the OEM's audio partner Meridian.

The Go PLs also feature their maker's Dual Play function, which allows 2 of these new devices to act in stereo. They also have an IPX5 rating, which means they can hold their own in outdoor settings. These wireless speakers are also have Multi-Color Lighting strips, albeit in the PL7 and PL5 only.

These new audio devices also have batteries rated for up to 24 hours of playback (under certain conditions and dependent on the model in question). The new XBOOM Go PL line is available from now from LG's website and through its official distributors. They are set at US$59, $129, and $179 for the PL2, PL5 and PL7 respectively.
