Marshall is a brand synonymous with music thanks to its famous Marshall-branded speaker stacks featuring behind many huge rock and metal bands over the years. It’s been several years since it branched out into consumer audio products now and its latest creation has now hit the street. The new Emberton compact wireless speaker brings signature Marshall sound in a compact design that is also IPX7 rated for water resistance.
The Marshall Emberton features Marshall’s proprietary True Stereophonic sound that creates a multi-directional 360-degree sound effect from its two 2-inch 10 W full range speakers. It also features an audio dynamic range of 60 Hz to 20 kHz. Battery life is rated for over 20 hours of playback from a charge. A 20-minute quick charge is also good for an additional 5 hours of sound or it takes 3 hours for a full charge over the included USB-C charger.
The Marshall Emberton portable Bluetooth speaker is retailing now for US$150.

I have been writing about consumer technology over the past ten years, previously with the former MacNN and Electronista, and now Notebookcheck since 2017. My first computer was an Apple ][c and this sparked a passion for Apple, but also technology in general. In the past decade, I’ve become increasingly platform agnostic and love to get my hands on and explore as much technology as I can get my hand on. Whether it is Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, Linux, Nintendo, Xbox, or PlayStation, each has plenty to offer and has given me great joy exploring them all. I was drawn to writing about tech because I love learning about the latest devices and also sharing whatever insights my experience can bring to the site and its readership.
