Ulefone has announced that it is rebooting its Power series of ultra-large-battery phones with the upcoming Armor 13 variant. It is slated to pack a number of potentially advantageous features, a 6.81-inch display, Android 11 and quad rear cameras included, all of which will be powered with the largest battery the OEM can offer. Pre-sales for this new rugged phone will start in late July 2021.

Update: Ulefone has now released the Power Armor 13 to Banggood and AliExpress, starting at US$320 on the former at present. It is only available in black at present, although its new "pre-sales" listings do confirm its extra-large battery, 6.81-inch FHD+ display and Helio G95 SoC.

Original Article: Ulefone has been combining the smartphone-world trends of ruggedized builds and large-capacity batteries in the Power series of smartphones since 2018; then again, it has not been updated since the 3rd quarter of 2019. Now, however, the OEM has made a successor for that phone official. Not only does the Power Arrmor 13 have a 13,200mAh battery, it also offers 48+8+2+2MP rear cameras, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage in a IP68/69K-rated chassis.

Ulefone also touts its upcoming device as a particularly rare beast, in that it will be a super-battery phone that will also ship with Android 11. On the other hand, features such as these often come with the compromise of an underwhelming and often aging SoC, and the Power Armor 13 fits right into this mold with the MediaTek Helio G95 platform.

In addition, the 13's display specs have been skimmed over in its pre-launch teaser, mentioning a 6.81-inch diagonal length and nothing else (panel type and refresh rate included) thus far.

On the other hand, the phone does contain what might be additional potential Easter eggs for many users, such as NFC, FM radio and an infrared rangefinder. However, the best notes Ulefone may have hit here may be that the Power Armor 13 is rated to function as a power bank - both wired and wireless to boot.

Finally, the upcoming battery-pack-slash-phone might not even take that long to charge, with a step up to decent mid-rage 33W wired charging as opposed to the 18W standard with which most devices in its category are lumped. Ulefone should reveal a starting price for the Power Armor 13 on its release to pre-orders, starting from July 26, 2021.
