Ulefone T3 with MediaTek Helio P90 SoC showcased
Ulefone is one of the newer Chinese phone makers that focuses on pushing the value for money envelope to the extreme, especially when compared to the models offered by established companies like Samsung and Apple. Now that we know what Samsung is bringing to the table with its latest Galaxy S10 family, Ulefone is comfortable enough to announce its premium T3 model that integrates a host of high-end features for a fraction of the prices announced by the Korean company.
Performance-wise, the Ulefone T3 is not really aiming to position itself as a Galaxy S10 competitor, since it includes the more mid-rangy Helio P90 SoC from MediaTek. This one is mostly on par with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710, since it only includes 2X ARM Cortex-A75 with 6X ARM Conrtex-A55 cores. However, the inclusion of 8 GB of LPDDR4 RAM together with 256 GB of NAND flash storage clearly signals the premium nature of the T3 model. Furthermore, the screen looks to have thin bezels and should be as large as the T2 Pro one, which has a 6.7-inch diagonal.
As far as cameras are concerned, the T3 comes with a triple-sensor setup on the back and a punch-hole selfie cam. Ulefone only mentioned that the main rear cam is getting a 48 MP sensor, but we can easily deduce there will be a telephoto lens and a depth one from the provided pictures. The fingerprint sensor is also placed on the rear, and it looks like the color options will include gradients with metallic finish.
The T3 from Ulefone is scheduled to go on sale this July for around $US350, but it is important to not that Ulefone distributes its models only in China for now. Nevertheless, westerners will be able to buy the models from AliExpress and GearBest.
