Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 series arrives at retailer before launch in four model variants
The first concrete signs of the Redmi Note 12 series have appeared online, courtesy of major Chinese retailer JD.com. Following shortly after the release of the Redmi Note 11T series, JD.com has confirmed that Xiaomi intends to release four Redmi Note 12 model variants, starting with the regular Redmi Note 12 5G. Unsurprisingly, Xiaomi has also created the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G and the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus 5G. Conversely, JD.com has listed a Redmi Note 12 Pro Extreme Edition as well.
Undoubtedly, the CNY 9,999 (~US$1,389) pricing is a placeholder. Additionally, JD.com has not revealed any technical specifications or design teasers. Presumably, Xiaomi will offer up these in the weeks before the series' arrival. Incidentally, the Redmi Note 13 series has already stopped by the 3C in China, with one member supporting over 200 W fast charging.
Currently, Xiaomi is not expected to announce the Redmi Note 13 series outside China until early 2023. Based on the start of the Redmi Note 11 series, Xiaomi will present the Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Plus 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus 5G and Redmi Note 12 Pro Extreme Edition in its home market as soon as November. Potentially, some Redmi Note 12 members could come to market under Xiaomi's POCO brand though, as has been the case before.
