Scheduled to launch next week, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II has just received an in-depth list of PC requirements for a minimum, recommended, competitive, and ultra 4K level of gaming experience. Early access to the campaign will begin tomorrow, and today at 10 AM PT, the game will be available for pre-load.

In less than 10 hours, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will be available for pre-load. Tomorrow, 24 hours after the start of the pre-load stage, the early access stage to the campaign mode will kick off. During that stage, the participants will be able to grab rewards that can be carried over to the multiplayer modes.

Yesterday, Activision and Infinity Ward have published an in-depth blog post about "everything you need to know before the new era begins with campaign early access" and, in addition to details regarding the game modes and rollout time/date for each platform, they also detailed the extended PC requirements to run the game.

The list of system requirements for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II has been broken down into four separate lists: minimum, recommended, competitive, and ultra 4K. All of them mention Windows 10 64-bit with the latest update, except for the ultra 4K list, which includes Windows 11 64-bit, obviously with the latest update.

The processor requirements start with the Intel Core i3-6100 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 and go all the way up to Intel Core i9-9900K or AMD Ryzen 9 3900X. The game requires at least 4 GB of memory, but 16 GB for competitive/ultra 4K gaming. In the video card department, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II needs at least the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon RX 470, but ultra 4K gaming needs the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT and 10 GB of video memory.

At launch, the game will need at least 72 GB of free disk space. The full-game preload will start on October 19 and 20 for Xbox and PlayStation, followed a week later by PC (via Steam and Battle.net).

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will launch officially on October 27 for both consoles and PC. The multiplayer pre-season will kick off on October 28 and will close on November 15. On November 16, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, DMZ and Battle Royale modes will launch alongside Modern Warfare II season 01, with even more to follow.
