Xiaomi has presented the Redmi X Pro, its first gaming TV. Launching in 65-inch and 75-inch sizes, the Redmi X Pro offers a 4K native resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate and excellent colour accuracy, among other features suited to gamers.

Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi X Pro, a device that the company is marketing as a gaming TV. Available in 65-inch and 75-inch sizes, the TV combines a 4K native resolution with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 4 ms response times. Although Xiaomi has not disclosed what panel type it has used, we suspect it is IPS rather than OLED.

With AMD FreeSync Premium also onboard, the Redmi X Pro should keep image tearing to a minimum, while Delta E deviations of less than 2 should ensure excellent colour accuracy. Additionally, Xiaomi claims that both sizes support Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision technologies. Separately, Xiaomi equips the Redmi X Pro with 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage and bundles a remote control that support voice control. Furthermore, the TV has HDMI 2.1 ports, making it compatible with HDMI VRR technology for use with current-generation games consoles and high-end graphics cards.

The Redmi X Pro starts at CNY 2,999 (~US$416) for its 65-inch variant, although its price will eventually rise to CNY 3,999 (~US$554) after Xiaomi's pre-sale period ends. Likewise, while the 75-inch edition will arrive for CNY 4,299 (~US$596), it too will climb to CNY 4,999 (~US$693) following the end of the same pre-sale period. The Redmi X Pro should be available generally in China from October 31.
