Xiaomi Mi ES70 4K TV launches with voice commands and Dolby Vision support
The Xiaomi Mi TV ES70 has arrived in China. The 70-in 4K TV has a 60 Hz resolution, with 4,096 backlight control zones and a peak brightness of 700 nits. The TV supports Dolby Vision and DTS-HD technologies, and an AI-SR image-enhancing algorithm reduces noise and improves clarity in real-time. Plus, MEMC technology smooths moving images, and the gadget covers 94% of the DCI-P3 color gamut with over 1.07 billion colors available.
Two built-in 12.5 W speakers with dual bass boosters provide a cinematic audio experience. You can control the ES70 with Xiao AI voice commands or the smartphone app; you can also link the device to other smart home products and control them via the TV. You can cast content from iOS and Android smartphones or Windows and macOS laptops. The device supports Bluetooth 5.0 and dual Wi-Fi connectivity and has a range of ports, including HDMI ARC and USB.
The TV uses a quad-core Cortex A55 processor with 2+32 GB memory and has a 97.8% screen-to-body ratio with a thin metal bezel. You can currently buy the Xiaomi Mi TV ES70 in China for the reduced price of 3,999 yuan (~US$550); the device is expected to retail for 4,499 yuan (~US$618) in the future. It is unclear whether or when Xiaomi could release the TV in other markets.
