SmartWings Nano Thread-enabled smart blinds with HomeKit support are crowdfunding
The SmartWings Nano Thread-enabled smart blinds are currently crowdfunding on Indiegogo. The gadget can be controlled via an accompanying remote, app or voice control, with support for Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Samsung SmartThings ecosystems. SmartWings has also said the product will support the Matter standard when it becomes available. The smart blinds do not require a bridge, relying instead on Bluetooth and Thread, and they can be quickly set up using an iOS device.
Smart features of the SmartWings Nano blinds include timed opening or close at a specified time or with sunrise or sunset. You can select a specific opening position, group up to 30 blinds and set up predefined scenes. You can recharge the 2,200 mAh lithium-ion battery via a wall outlet or solar panels, with a six-hour charge providing up to six months of life. Plus, you can view the blinds' battery level in the app. The blinds can operate as quietly as 38 dB and move at speeds from 20 to 28 rpm.
The blinds are made to measure, available in 25 colors and four fabrics with sheer, sunscreen, light filtering or blackout qualities. You can currently receive the SmartWings Nano Thread-enabled smart blinds when you pledge HK$2,346 (~US$299) to the Indiegogo campaign; the product is expected to retail for US$399. The gadget is shipping worldwide, with deliveries scheduled for January.
