The Formovie S5 laser projector, also known as the FENGMI S5, is now available globally via Banggood. The ALPD projector has a maximum brightness of 1,100 ANSI lumens and a 1,500:1 contrast ratio. The short-throw device can project images from 40 to 120-in (~102 to 305 cm) wide with a 1.2:1 throw ratio. The gadget has a native 1080p resolution, with 4K and HDR10 decoding
Plus, the device has MEMC motion compensation technology to smooth moving images and a 12 ms latency with ALLM. You can connect to the projector via USB 3.0, 3.5 mm audio, HDMI 2.1 and USB-C ports. Tools such as instant focus, intelligent screen calibration and obstacle avoidance help perfect the image quickly, and you can control the device with voice commands.
A 2022 Amlogic T982 processor powers the S5 with 2+16 GB memory. The projector has built-in speakers and can operate quietly at around 23 dB. The device measures 175 x 175 x 48 mm (~6.9 x 6.9 x 1.9-in) and weighs 0.83 kg (~29.3 oz). You can currently buy the Formovie S5 4K laser projector via Bangood for the discounted price of US$779.99; according to the product listing, the device will retail for US$1,099.99 in the future.
