Deal | Super-affordable 48-inch LG A2 OLED TV with Dolby Vision HDR goes on sale for US$570

Even though its main competitor Samsung has introduced a well-performing QD-OLED TV earlier this year, it is a well-known fact that the South Korean tech heavyweight LG remains the leader in the OLED TV market. As we quickly approach the holiday shopping season, some of the models in LG's current 2022 model year are slowly but surely receiving some significant discounts, which has now resulted in a notable deal for the budget-friendly LG A2.

The large American retailer Best Buy currently offers the budget-friendly 48-inch variant of the aforementioned LG A2 OLED TV with Dolby Vision HDR and a native refresh rate of 60Hz on sale for just US$570 including free shipping or store pickup in many locations across the US. This is a massive US$730 or 44 percent discount in relation to the television's original list price of US$1,300. Please note that this particular size of the LG A2 is exclusively sold at Best Buy in the US, which makes price comparisons to other retailers like Amazon pretty difficult. However, at the time of writing this article, there is no cheaper way to pick up a 2022 OLED TV made by one of the big three brands than this deal.

In one of our previous articles on the LG A2, which refers to a comprehensive review published by the TV experts at Rtings.com, we highlighted the OLED TV's small improvements in comparison to its direct predecessor. For example, the panel can now reach a quite impressive HDR peak brightness of up to 562 nits, and the reviewers also found that the the out-of-the-box color accuracy was noticeably improved over the LG A1. All in all, this deal is a very reasonable choice for all prospective OLED TV buyers who don't need the largest screen size or a faster 120Hz panel, which is only found in the higher-tier sets that are also much more expensive.
