Xiaomi has revealed the Mijia Graphene Baseboard Heater in China. As its name suggests, the gadget uses two Graphene heating elements to generate an up to 2,200 W power output. Plus, the device can give off heat in as little as three seconds. You can also use the gadget to humidify your room to avoid drying out the atmosphere.
Xiaomi suggests that the heat circulation of the device is powerful enough to heat your whole home, though it does not indicate how long this would take. You can adjust the required room temperature from 16 to 28 °C (~61 to 82 °F) with an intelligent constant temperature tool to automatically adjust the heating output as necessary. The gadget is rated as IPX4 waterproof, which Xiaomi claims makes it safe to use in the bathroom, should you wish. You can control the device via the built-in touch control panel with the Mijia smartphone app or Xiao AI voice commands. The heater has various safety features, such as overheating protection and a child lock.
The gadget measures 1,250 x 170 x 222 mm (~49.2 x 6.7 x 8.7-in) and weighs 11.5 kg (~25.4 lbs). From October 27, you will be able to pre-order the Xiaomi Mijia Graphene Baseboard Heater in China for 859 yuan (~US$118). Xiaomi has not indicated whether it will sell the device in other countries in the future.
