YUNMI VIOMI Master air conditioner 1.5 hp with 99% formaldehyde removal launches
The YUNMI VIOMI Master air conditioner 1.5 hp with formaldehyde removal has been launched in China. YUNMI claims that a unit built into the device can remove up to 99% of aldehydes in your home in two hours via a four-stage filtration system; formaldehyde is typically found in the house due to building materials, smoking and appliances such as gas stoves.
The VIOMI unit can cover an area from 15 to 22 m² (~161 to 237 ft²), processing 600 m³ (~21,189 ft³) of air per hour. The gadget has up to 1,320 W of heating power and 915 W of cooling power, with the internal unit generating up to 42 dBA of running noise. A sizeable colorful screen indicates the air quality and the device’s current settings, which you can control in a smartphone app or with AI voice commands. Plus, the intelligent gadget can automatically adjust its settings to maintain your desired temperature.
The wall-mounted internal unit of the air conditioner measures 861 x 348 x 209 mm (~33.9 x 13.7 x 8.2-in) and weighs 10.5 kg (~23.1 lbs). You can currently buy the YUNMI VIOMI Master 1.5 hp formaldehyde removal air conditioner in China for 3,998 yuan (~US$552) with a 50 yuan (~US$7) deposit. It is unclear whether or when the device could launch in other markets.
