The Xiaomi Mijia Front-Loading Drum Washing Machine 12 kg is now available to pre-order in China. The company suggests that the gadget is suitable for a larger family, with the ability to wash five bedding sets or 60 t-shirts simultaneously. The washing machine is powered by a durable direct drive motor which can run quietly with a 48 dBA noise output.
Xiaomi claims that this motor delivers 22% more torque than the version used in its 10 kg model. The company suggests that the device provides 99.99% sterilization with high-temperature washing options. Other cycles include a mixed wash, 15 minute quick wash and a gentle wool wash setting. You can control the device via a built-in LED touch control panel. Plus, you can pause the cycle and add items to your wash at any time. The machine measures 850 x 595 x 640 mm (~33.5 x 23.4 x 25.2-in) and comes in a titanium gray.
You can currently pre-order the Xiaomi Mijia Front-Loading Drum Washing Machine 12 kg in China for 1,699 yuan (~US$232) with a 100 yuan deposit (~US$14). The gadget is expected to retail for 1,999 yuan (~US$274) in the future. It is unclear whether or when the device could be launched in other markets.
