BenQ LW500 WXGA projector with SmartEco mode and 2,000 ANSI lumens brightness arrives
The BenQ LW500 projector has been launched in North America. The gadget has been designed for the meeting room, with up to 2,000 ANSI lumens brightness. The WXGA projector has a laser light source with a life expectancy of 30,000 hours; you can extend the lifetime using SmartEco Mode, which optimizes the brightness. A glass lens ensures the product delivers clear images with a 20,000:1 contrast ratio.
The display has 98% Rec. 709 coverage with 1.07 billion colors. The LW500 has a 1.55 - 1.7 throw ratio and 1.1x zoom, and auto Vertical Keystone will quickly perfect the image. Instant On/Off allows you to turn the device on again within eight seconds of being turned off, and anti-theft features include a Kensington Lock. You can connect to the projector via a USB-A and two HDMI ports, with a 33.4 ms input lag at 1080p @ 60 Hz resolution.
The projector can run quietly with an output noise of as little as 28 dB and comes with a built-in 2W speaker and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The gadget measures 296 x 20 x 229 mm (~11.7 x 4.7 x 9.0-in) and weighs 2.3 kg (~5.1 lbs).
