MagyarXiaomi Mijia Thermostatic Kettle 2 Pro with 1 °C temperature control and smartphone app unveiled
The Xiaomi Mijia Thermostatic Kettle 2 Pro has been launched in China. You can use a stepless knob to set your desired temperature to within 1 °C (~2 °F) accuracy, meaning you can customize the heating based on your drink. The dial has a built-in LED to show the temperature settings, and a smart light ring at its base shows the status.
Alternatively, you can use the Mijia smartphone app to adjust the device’s settings; the kettle supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Alongside the temperature, you can also select a boiling mode. For example, purified water mode will just boil the water, but tap water mode will boil the water, then automatically cool and reboil the kettle to purify the water. The Kettle 2 Pro has a 1,800 W power output and runs quietly at 45 dBa.
The product can hold 1.7 L (~57.5 fl. oz) of liquid and maintain a constant temperature for up to 24 hours. A one-touch button triggers the lid, opening in two stages to prevent steam from blowing into your face. The gadget has a 304 stainless steel inner, is 242 mm (~9.5-in) tall, and has a 155 mm (~6.1-in) wide base. Including the base, the white device weighs 1.24 kg (~2.73 lbs) and is available via stores like JD.com. You can currently buy the Xiaomi Mijia Thermostatic Kettle 2 Pro in China for 199 yuan (~US$27).
