While Xiaomi is yet to officially confirm the existence, or even launch plans, of the Xiaomi 12T series, the vanilla Xiaomi 12T model has already gone on sale in a corner of the world—like the global version of the Mi Band 7 Pro recently did—with the lucky buyer now revealing all major details of the phone.
As revealed by Xiaomiui, a user in Peru has now had the good fortune of being able to buy the Xiaomi 12T before the phone's launch. The 12T, by all indications, appears to share a chassis with the Redmi K50 Extreme Edition—Redmi K50 Ultra, according to some—that debuted a while ago. That's not surprising, as rumors always claimed so.
The 12T sports a 6.67-inch 1.5K 120 Hz AMOLED with a hole punch and retains the 20 MP selfie camera. Gone is the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 on the Redmi K50 Extreme Edition, however, with a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Ultra in its place. There's a 108 MP camera at the rear—likely the ISOCELL HM6—and it's aided by an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2 MP depth sensor. For some reason, though, 4K@60 FPS video capture appears to be absent. A 5000 mAh battery supplies juice, along with 120 W charging.
Seemingly, the phone will be available with either 256 GB or 512 GB of storage. 8 GB of RAM comes as standard. This leaked unit offers 256 GB of storage and appears to have cost around US$616 after converting currencies. The Xiaomi 11T with 256 GB cost €599 last year, so it appears prices will remain the same.
