Xiaomi has officially launched the Mi Mix 4 smartphone in China. Typically for devices in the Mi Mix series, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 is packed to the gills with innovations, including its camera under panel (CUP) technology, UWB connectivity, graphene heat spreader, and 108 MP HMX main camera sensor. Arguably the biggest surprise about the phone is the price tags for its four configurations.

Xiaomi has released the Mi Mix 4 smartphone, which is now available for pre-order in China. While the majority of the specifications and details for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 had already been leaked, the actual price for the smartphone had been kept secret, and even the most recent guesses were wide of the mark. While most expected the Mi Mix 4 to rival the Mi 11 Ultra in terms of how much it was going to cost, Xiaomi has surprised its legions of fans by revealing prices that will practically guarantee the Mi Mix 4’s success. The official Chinese prices, with current exchange rates (obviously not including regional taxes or market variances), are as follows:

The above currency conversions are simply for illustrative purposes only, but it’s still an astonishing and highly aggressive move by Xiaomi to price the Mi Mix 4 in such a manner, at least for its domestic market. It’s worth keeping in mind this is a premium flagship smartphone with a 20 MP under-display camera (UDC), Snapdragon 888+ processor, 108 MP main camera, 120 W wired charging support, Harman Kardon-tweaked speakers, and much more (full Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 datasheet in the drop-down box below).

Xiaomi has been hitting headlines lately because of its massive market movements: It wasn’t that long ago the Chinese OEM became the world’s second-largest smartphone company, and it even hit the top spot above Samsung as recently as June 2021. Presenting the Mi Mix 4 with its beautiful blemish-free AMOLED screen and 3.0 GHz-capable SD 888+ at the above price points almost seems like Xiaomi's way of thanking its incredibly loyal fanbase for its meteoric rise to the top (the company was only founded in 2010). It’s still an expensive phone, but if the Mi Mix 4 performs as well as its components suggest on paper, then it won’t be long before Xiaomi is celebrating yet another stunning sales smash.
