Massive Mi Mix 4 specs and renders leak reveals almost every tiny detail about Xiaomi's incoming Snapdragon 888+ smartphone

It’s hardly a surprise that almost every tiny detail about the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 has been leaked ahead of launch. The enthusiasm for the long-awaited Mi Mix successor has been palpable, and leakers and bloggers have been getting their hands on every single scrap of information possible. Now a massive Mi Mix 4 leak, mostly courtesy of numerous leakers on Twitter and the tipster Bald Panda on Weibo, has delivered every single spec possible about the Snapdragon 888+ phone – the only thing that appears to be missing is the official price.

It seems the details about the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4, judging on the leaked images below, have been taken from the upcoming official product page for the device. On top of the SD 888+ and 108 MP ISOCELL HMX sensor, other highlights for the 6.67-inch phone include 120 W wired and 50 W wireless charging support, 20 MP selfie camera hidden under the display (UDC), 480 Hz touch-sampling rate, UFS 3.1 storage, LPDDR5 RAM, 120 Hz refresh rate, and there’s even mention of IP68-level water-resistance.

To get an overall idea of just what kind of beast the Mi Mix 4 is, a look at its specs reveals it holds up very well in comparison to the ultra-premium Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. The latter has a larger battery (5,000 mAh vs. 4,500 mAh) and differs greatly with the camera equipment: 50 MP (GN2) + 48 MP + 48 MP with 5x optical and 120x digital zoom for the Mi 11 Ultra compared to 108 MP (HMX) + 13 MP + 8 MP with 5x optical and 100x digital zoom for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4.

The new entrant to the Mi Mix family will sport Android 11 and MIUI 12.5, is expected to cost more than the Mi 11 Ultra, so over £1,199 (US$1,661/€1,413), and it will apparently come in a choice of ceramic white, ceramic black, and shadow green gray (cyan) colors. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 will be officially released in China on August 10 with there being some speculation that it could get a global release before the end of the year.
