Xiaomi looks prepared to launch the 12S series later in the year. The phones are expected to be a refresh of the Xiaomi 12 flagship series that debuted in China back in December, and it appears the vanilla Xiaomi 12S has now made its first trip to Geekbench with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 in tow.
The Xiaomi 12S records a score of 1328 in the single-core test, and 4234 in the multi-core one. Those scores are more impressive than recent leaked Geekbench scores of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and trade blows with the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 without any disadvantage. Of course, pre-production Geekbench scores don't always tell an accurate story.
In addition, the Xiaomi 12S is listed with 12 GB of RAM, which is about normal for Xiaomi's premium phones. The flagship will sport a 120 Hz AMOLED, a 50 MP main camera with Leica branding as revealed by recent live images, and 67 W fast-charging.
