Xiaomi will launch a handful of devices with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 this year. In addition to products from its Redmi, Poco, and main brand line, the company will also debut the gaming-focused Black Shark 6 series.
As revealed by Mukul Sharma, Xiaomi will bring the Black Shark 6 series to the market later this year, with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 in tow. That's about expected, as they're gaming phones and generally feature the newest, most powerful available Qualcomm chipset. The leaker provides no further information about the gaming device, sadly.
That said, though, Xiaomi launches the main phones early in the year, and refreshes them towards the end of the year. Last year, for example, the Black Shark 4 lineup debuted in March, with the Black Shark 4S series coming in October. The Black Shark 5 and Black Shark 5 Pro were released this year in March as well, so a refresh around October would be right on the mark. Whether those phones will be branded as the Black Shark 5S or Black Shark 6 series, is a different matter.
