Black Shark sets a launch date for its 2022 flagship gaming phone series
Xiaomi's gaming smartphone brand has now confirmed that its 5 series is on the way in 2022. Black Shark has announced that the devices will be ready to compete from the end of March of this year. They are expected to do so with the latest Snapdragon top-end silicon - albeit in the Pro model only.
Black Shark has now announced a launch date for the successors to its 4 flagship series of early 2021. These newer models are expected to land as vanilla and Pro variants, as with their predecessors of the last fewyears. On that note, their new 5 moniker is projected to be the most novel thing about the new gaming phones.
Their maker may have developed a new "Break through Gravity" theme for the new line's debut; however, it is slated to be little enough of a breakthrough in themselves. The 5 and 5 Pro are rumored to have very similar specs to the 4 and 4 Pro, even down to the same display and SoC (the Snapdragon 870) in the vanilla model.
Therefore, it may be that Black Shark expects that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 allegedly destined for the Pro model will be upgrade enough in itself. As for the 5 in its current predicted form, it might be hoped that it will launch as more of a gaming flagship killer on March 30, 2022.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
