Xiaomi Redmi 11: First details leak for upcoming budget smartphone with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset and 5G connectivity
91mobiles claims to have received information about the Xiaomi Redmi 11, another budget smartphone under the Redmi brand. According to the website, the Redmi 11 will be a 5G-capable smartphone thanks to its MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, which also contains a Mali-G57 MP2 GPU. Purportedly, Xiaomi will complement the Dimensity 700 with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage; other memory configurations are unknown at this point, if there are any.
Additionally, 91mobiles reports that the Redmi 11 has a 6.58-inch LCD, presumably IPS. The website adds that the large display will operate at 'FHD+', likely 2,400 x 1,080 pixels, while also offering a 90 Hz refresh rate. Moreover, the Redmi 11 is expected to feature a 50 MP primary camera, a 2 MP auxiliary camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera. Although Redmi 11 renders have not leaked yet, we imagine that Xiaomi will contain the low-resolution front-facing camera within a notch of sorts.
Furthermore, 91mobiles alleges that the Redmi 11 will rely on a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 18 W fast charging. Reputedly set for release next month, 91mobiles believes that the Redmi 11 will retail for INR 13,999 (~US$180). Unfortunately, the website has not confirmed whether Xiaomi intends to sell the Redmi 11 outside India. Potentially, the Redmi 11 5G could be an Indian version of the Redmi 10 5G though, which Xiaomi released two months ago in Europe.
